How Michael Caine saved life of 'JAWS The Revenge' co-star
JAWS the Revenge (1987) may have signalled the death of the JAWS franchise, but it could have meant the death of one of its actors, were it not for the quick-thinking of Oscar-winner Michael Caine.
Caine grabbed Mike Brody actor Lance Guest when the boat they were on took on water and the battery casing had a leak, which could have electrified the water, making for an unintentional homage to the ending of JAWS 2, and of course electrocution plays a key role in the death of the shark in JAWS the Revenge.
Speaking to The Daily Jaws, Lance said: “The front of the boat went down and the Director of Photography threw the camera on to the barge and I could just feel this hand grab me, and Michael Caine - with one hand - pulls me out the boat, because he thought I was going to get electrocuted.”
Recounting the story Guest says Caine exclaimed "Get the f@ck out of that boat!" with his quite literally swift single handed saving action, and Lance was like "Thanks man."
Guest calls it his true story bullshit claim that Michael Caine saved his life, and we’ve got to admit that its not a bad story for this vicinity.
