This series, “Beaches Closed”, is ultimately one of my most cherished sets I've ever painted. The journey started 4 years ago (working it, shelfing it, working it, shelfing it) and is still in progress. From original sketch - color study- alt poster concepts- beaches closed collection. The idea to re-create my own sharks with subtle details from each of their films has been a lifelong art project i’ve wanted to tackle since i was a kid. Fast Forward to now. JAWS 2 Storyboard Set by joe alves
This is a two-sheet set that illustrates the water skier attack (sheet 1) and boat driver / shark on fire sequence (sheet 2) as originally conceived and designed by Joe; he’d go on to direct the entire sequence for the film, too!
Each sheet of this two-sheet set measures 11″ x 17″ and each is hand-signed and hand-titled by Joe himself.

The Quint Hat 2 - Quint's Revenge
Back by popular demand, we've released an updated version of our CO-OP 2 Quint Hat from 2016. The Quint Hat is for stormy nights, dark days, and yes, deep sea hunting.
Made from an 8.25oz. waxed cotton fabric, the hat is water resistant and has dual front stash pockets. All seams are finished with natural cotton twill tape and it’s all closed with a veg-tanned Atlantic wolf fish leather strap around a brass slider buckle. This Quint also has a slightly fuller fit than the original. The perfect hat for anyone on or off the hunt or when your island has just too many captains on it.
