The Shark Is Broken Has Spoken

The Shark Is Broken

You can catch The Shark Is Broken until November 6th, 2022 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Totonto, Canada.

Well its lead actor and co-writer Ian Shaw has. He joined The Daily Jaws for an exclusive live interview on The Daily Jaws Instagram page about the show about the behind the scenes antics on the set of Jaws.

After storming The Edinburgh Fringe last year, it heads to London's West End from May 11. We were amongst the first people to see the show last year and said "it's like being the fourth crew member of the Orca...it's a Jaws de force, intimate yet epic in scope at the same time."

We'd spoken to the son of Robert Shaw before, both for a previous article and we were lucky enough to speak to him and the rest of the cast and crew after we caught one of only two Brighton preview shows last year.

The Daily Jaws founder Ross puts Ian through his paces on a possible Quint prequel

So, here is The Daily Jaws founder, Ross, armed with a new set of questions from us, and ones from The Daily Jaws followers from across the world. Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit questions.

Enjoy, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

We also hope to bring you more from Ian Shaw and The Shark Is Broken prior to its maiden West End voyage.

Hired by Spielberg as a screenwriter to work with him on the set while the movie was being made, Carl Gottlieb, an actor and writer, was there throughout the production that starred Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and Richard Dreyfuss. After filming was over, with Spielberg's cooperation, Gottlieb chronicled the extraordinary yearlong adventure in The Jaws Log, which was first published in 1975 and has sold more than two million copies. This expanded edition includes a photo section, an introduction by Benchley, and an afterword by Gottlieb that gives updates about the people and events involved in the film, ultimately providing a singular portrait of a famous movie and inspired moviemaking.
