THE DAILY JAWS CAST AS OFFICIAL MEDIA PARTNER FOR THE SHARK IS BROKEN

In exciting news for Jaws fans, The Daily Jaws has been announced as the media partner for the West End debut of The Shark Is Broken, the play about the behind-the-scenes goings on during the making of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws.

The show – co-written by and starring son of Quint actor Robert Shaw – sets sail for a 14-week run at

The Ambassadors Theatre from Saturday 9 October. It stars the aforementioned Ian Shaw, as an

uncanny double of his dad Robert Shaw dressed as Quint, Demetri Goritsas as Roy Scheider and Liam

Murray Scott as Richard Dreyfuss.

As the world’s number one Jaws site, The Daily Jaws are perfectly placed to take a deep dive through

all the breaking news and behind the scenes aspects of the show from opening night to final curtain

on January 15, 2022.

Ross Williams, Director of The Daily Jaws, said: “After a hugely successful run at The Edinburgh

Fringe, it was only a matter of time before this brilliantly funny and moving story of the making of

Jaws would head to the West End in London, and we’ll be there to be the eyes and ears for every

Jaws fan around the world.

“This show is the biggest thing to happen to Jaws since the summer of 1975, so it is a huge privilege

to be a part of Jaws history in the making. Seeing it on stage really is like being the fourth crew

member of the Orca, and the world’s number one Jaws site will be there to capture the head, the

tail, the whole damn thing.”

The Daily Jaws has a enjoyed a long relationship with The Shark Is Broken since it was first

announced, they were lucky enough to catch the preview show ahead of it going to Edinburgh and

Ian Shaw even recorded a surprise intro for the Jaws WeMake, a fan-made remake of Jaws created

during lockdown, featuring over 100 Jaws fans from around the world.
