Father and son team create their own animated musical version of Jaws

My Son, Brandon who was 6 at the time said one day while watching Jaws. Daddy, could we make our own version of jaws, he was very exited and inspired to do his own movie after we both took part in the JAWS WEMAKE over lockdown. So we decided to make our version a musical.

Along with choosing the songs, one song that seemed to be a hit was ‘Is anybody eating that?’ inspired by Hall and Oates song ‘I cant go for that’. we wrote New lyrics to popular songs, some made the cut, some we may just keep for the sequel!

We spent hours and hours drawing/colouring and cutting and glueing what seemed millions of beach scenes, harbour scenes and the orca at sea scenes etc. (Even a scene including comedy legend Benny Hill) We also added our orca boat we had been building at the time to add into the scenes, Brandon was abit scared of singing but he managed to sing show me the way to go home which he was very proud and would practice in the shower.

My singing on the other hand is well.....i'll let the viewers decide. We had alot of fun filming the scenes, all filmed with just a moblie phone. From concept to final filming, it was a labour of love and like Steven Spielberg we had our problems but together as Father and Son we got there, alot of hard work went into the project and we had a great response from jaws fans from all over the world even some people who worked on JAWS Including Marty Milner who helped build beach sets and the Orca 2 and was responsible in fixing and maintaining the sharks, he said he was very impressed with Quints death scene and song. (proud to call him a friend too).

All our hard work paid off in the end and we are currently planning our next movie project, (jaws inspired ofcourse) Brandon would also like to add if ANYBODY can get our movie to Mr Steven Spielberg that would be JAWSOME!!!! (P.S. Brandon is still waiting for his oscar!!!!). During lockdown, Phil and Brandon also created a living room size cardboard Orca!
