Jaws fan starts petition to bring updated 'Jaws Ride' back to Universal Studios

On January 2, 2012, the Jaws Ride at Universal Studios Orlando scared theme park and Jaws fans one final time. And then it was closed, removed and made way for part of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The rest, really is Jaws history.

However, Jaws fan Timothy Thompson misses the ride so much he has started a petition and hopes you will support his quest to ‘Bring Back Jaws’. We caught up with Timothy to learn more:

Timothy with his family - and Bruce!

Timothy: "I’ve been a huge fan ever since I was a little boy and I remember when I was 8 years old I got to experience the ride for the first time. It was so fascinating to me it was like nothing I’ve been on before. I know they used to have a lot of issues with the ride and was one of the main reasons they closed it down. Also to put the add on to Harry Potter.

But I feel with the new technology now we have and a little update would help bring the classic back to life. Not only am I a fan my 3 year old son loves Jaws he reminds me of myself at that age of course. I don’t let him see the bloody parts lol but he’s as fascinated with the movies as much as me and when we went to Universal this year he was so upset they didn’t have the jaws ride the only thing you can do now is watch videos on YouTube of the ride.

but I feel like we should have to watch we should be able to experience once again with the little ones of this generation that missed out that’s my wish for this there is a huge fan base for jaws bigger then I have imagine and if we all work together I believe we can make this dream come true.
