ANOTHER GREAT WHITE SHARK PHOTOGRAPHED IN JAWS POSE

Obviously great white sharks don't do requests or go out of their way to pose as posters for the 1975 Steven Spielberg shark thriller, but a great white has been captured in that iconic Jaws poster framing.



And, thanks to the seemingly insatiable appetite for shark stories by the media, the image of Nicole the great white has caused something of a feeding frenzy. Of course the image isn't talking about its beauty but is labelled as the Jaws of death.

It's Squirrel the great white as photographed by Euan Rannachan, taking arguably the most famous shark photo of the last 10 years.

And although both great whites are shot in the famous Jaws poster framing, if they don't quite look exactly like the shark on the film poster, that's because it isn't a great white on it. It is in actual fact a mako shark.
