King Shark To Rule The Waves In The Suicide Squad

We all know sharks are super, well now one of them is a superhero in the forthcoming The Suicide Squad from Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn.

And voicing this unique DC comics hero is none other than Rocky and Rambo star, Sylvester Stallone.

Not that he is the first member of his family to feature in a shark-related film, that honour goes to his daughter, Sistine Stallone, who featured alongside Jamie Foxx's daughter in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. You can check out our review of that here: 47 Meters Down Uncaged Review

As for the latest incarnation of The Suicide Squad, that is set to hit big screens and HBO Max on August 6th.

We know that Gunn is a fan of Steven Spielberg's Jaws, he listed it in his favourite horror movies over on Collider. So it's great to plenty of potential shark-man hybrid action in the offing.

That means The Suicide Squad is a left-field entry into a growing list of shark movies set to be released this year: Shark Movies Coming In 2021

King Shark will be appearing alongside a returning Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and first time outings for Bloodsport (Idris Elba) Bloodsport and Peacemaker (John Cena) to name but a few. All taking orders - once again - from Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller.

Here's the trailer, with plenty of rip-roaring King Shark action to get your teeth into.
