JAWS-ome 'Shark Month' events coming to Plymouth

Plymouth's Shark Month offers an array of exciting events, including paddleboarding with shark experts, as a collaboration with the Shark Trust turns July into a celebration of these magnificent creatures at Royal William Yard. The partnership with the Shark Trust, a leading conservation charity, invites visitors to support their vital work while indulging in a month-long extravaganza of art, entertainment, and advocacy.

From captivating art exhibitions to Great White wine tastings, alongside activities like paddleboarding and a screening of the iconic film Jaws, Shark Month promises something for everyone.

The festivities kick off with the Oceanic 31 Exhibition at Ocean Studios, showcasing mesmerizing oceanic wonders through art inspired by marine conservation. Families can join in the creative fun at Family Art Activity sessions each Saturday, while the Shark Trust Activity Day on July 7 combines with the Royal William Yard Good Food and Craft Market.

Wine enthusiasts can enjoy the Great Whites Wine Tasting at Le Vignoble, supporting a good cause while savoring wines from regions where Great White sharks roam. Test your shark knowledge at the Shark Quiz Night at Steel Brew on July 13, with the chance to win fantastic prizes.

Art lovers can participate in Letterpress Poster Workshops and attend a Sharks and Art Talk at Ocean Studios led by renowned artist Marc Dando and Shark Trust CEO Paul Cox.

Film buffs won't want to miss the screening of Jaws at Everyman Plymouth on July 21, followed by Q&A sessions with shark experts. For those seeking adventure, the Shark Trust Paddle with South West SUP on July 26 offers an exhilarating experience while learning about shark conservation.

1st-31st July: Kicking off the celebration is the Oceanic 31 Exhibition at Ocean Studios. Dive into the mesmerising world of oceanic wonders showcased through an enthralling exhibit of art inspired by marine conservation.
