JAWS 4K Ultra HD Japanese Art Design Steelbook Coming Soon
Jaws is turning Japanese
HMV is releasing an exclusive Japanese art design steelbook of the Jaws 4K and Bluray combi.
It almost seems apt since Japan is the only place in the world to still have the Jaws Ride: https://thedailyjaws.com/blog/jaws-ride-japan-universal-studios-osaka
The limited edition release is causing quite the stir. It's got the classic Jaws cover design by Roger Kastal - something we didn't have the option of in the release earlier this year - which is probably draw enough for many as it is.
But wait, there's more. Each release comes with a replica 'chirashi’ mini-poster used to promote the film in Japanese cinemas.
The interior artwork raised a few eyebrows as it is the glorious Jaws 2 sunset teaser design, which looking at comments across social media is a bonus for some and annoying for others. Where do you sit?
The set is limited to 2000 copies and all discs are all in English, in case there is any confusion, with the same extras as the earlier 4K releases and include:
The Making Of Jaws
The Shark Is Still Working: The Impact & Legacy Of Jaws: The Restoration
Deleted Scenes And Outtakes From The Set
Original Theatrical Trailer
This is the first title announced in the Japanese artwork series, with the second announced as another Steven Spielberg classic, Duel. This time that is just a bluray, the TV movie about a killer truck - which was released theatrically in Europe - looks glorious though.
