That's right, the annoying, repetitive shark song sensation by Pinkfong is now the most viewed video on YouTube of all time. All time!

It's been viewed, or should that be endured, an astonishing 7.04 billion times. Not a bad record for this vicinity, which equates to it being played for 30,187 years back to back.

The song has been swimming up stream for the last four years, but is suggested that it first originated at school camps in the US in the 1970s. Some even saying that it came about as a result of the film Jaws, another lasting impact of the Steven Spielberg film, perhaps.

7 billion views and 22 million likes makes Baby Shark the most watched video on YouTube - ever!

If nothing else, the song is introducing youngsters to the world of sharks and our oceans in a non-threatening way, so it can't be a totally bad thing. Can it?
