Jaws Fan Art Creator Federico Alain Remembered

Jaws fans around the world were waking up to the news that the talented artist, who would often recreate iconic scenes from the Jaws series, had passed away.

You may not have always been familiar with his name, but there was certainly no escaping his art work.

That work also featured on the front covers of the Jaws 2: the making of the Hollywood sequel book, by Michael A. Smith.

On his Facebook page, Michael wrote:

“I am stunned to learn of the passing of Federico Alain. His art work inspired by both JAWS and JAWS 2 was amazing. And I am so proud that his work graces both covers of the expanded editions of the JAWS 2 book. He would also see that I would be doing a book signing and send me some amazing flyers I could use to promote the events.

I surprised Billy Van Zandt with Federico's interpretation of "Bob's" death and he loved it! He was a very gifted and generous person. You will be missed by many, my friend. Thank you for sharing your talents with not only myself but the world.”

"Amity, as you know, means friendship" is a famous line from the film, and friendship is what binds the Jaws community together. So, such a loss obviously rocks that community, which has already seen an outpouring of sadness - as well as thanks for what the artist has left behind as his legacy.
