A Buffalo State University media production course teaches students about ways that films grab the attention of viewers throughout its entirety. A film that uses effects in enticing ways would be 1975’s “Jaws”.

Conspiracy theories have been around since the beginning of time.  What happened to the dinosaurs?  Aliens at Roswell?  Who killed JFK?  But there is another conspiracy that is never talked about at the swanky dinner parties on Amity Island.  And that is the true fate of Pipit the dog.

JAWS won an Oscar for it’s sound, and deservedly so.  There is a key moment in the film where, just moments before Alex Kintner is attacked, that the beach is filled with various happy beach goers, enjoying the sun and the tunes on the radio.  Or, to be more precise, several radios.
