STEVEN SPIELBERG THINKS JAWS WOULD MAKE GREAT (WHITE) MUSICAL

Steven Spielberg's first ever musical, a new version of West Side Story, is getting fantastic reviews.

During press interviews for the musical about two rival gangs, the Sharks (insert Jaws joke here) and the Jets, the director of Indiana Jones - Temple of Doom did have a musical opening - and Jurassic Park was asked which of his extensive back catalogue woud best make a musical.

He was asked the question by Alistair Ryder from Zavvi TV, and his answer - without missing a beat - was Jaws.

Spielberg said: "Jaws should be a musical... I need a character, or a lot of swimmers to be able to swim fast and swim in those interesting Olympic-style formations. I could make it into a really good musical comedy."

Jaws the musical, would you? Well, it looks like someone has beaten Steven Spielberg to it as in 2022 you'll get chance to see for yourself as it heads to the stage in the US.
