Chief Brody Jr Cosplay is Jaws-ome
The Daily Jaws is always patrolling the digital shores looking out for crazy passionate fans with great Jaws stories and we came across 9 year old Rylan Hutto in an epic homemade Chief Brody costume.
We got in touch with Rylan’s mum Sonya who sent us more photos and told us about Rylan’s love for Jaws and sharks….
Sonya: It seems as though Rylan has had a love for sharks his whole life. Whether watching them, dressing like one, or playing shark attack. From swim trunks to driving to the coast for shark week. When at the beach he searches for shark teeth, scans the water looking for a fin. He has a knowledge of sharks that is well beyond his age.
When the school announced 70s day during homecoming week it took less than a minute to decide on JAWS. No brained. His #1 favourite movie. I think Rylan was maybe 3 when he watched JAWS for the first time. I was afraid it would give him nightmares, or terrify him of the water but it made him more fascinated. Quite possibly the only 3 year old begging to watch a shark attack people. Not the blood and violence he loved just the thrill and adrenaline of it.
Rylan has the collection movie set, all of them recorded on the dvr and watches every marathon aired.
He still sings da dum da dum da dum when sneaking behind someone or swimming. He loves the scenes on the boat, going to catch a shark, which is where the idea for his shirt came from. He has repeated that line millions of times over the years so it seemed like a perfect fit.
Since Chief Brody is the absolute best that’s who he chose to be. I mean who wouldn’t want to be a strong, fearless shark killer just trying to protect his town.
The uniform look was so it would be easier to identify him as the chief, and wouldn’t have any question of who are you??
It’s all about the details, that includes hair style, glasses a badge and a special police patch.
The boat and shark, the best part, what pulled the entire look together. I mean let’s face it, you cannot be Chief Brody without a shark and a boat.
He has dreams of being in his own shark movie one day, maybe he will be the next Chief!
