ENDANGERED: BELOVED IKEA SHARK SET TO BECOME EXTINCT?

According to media reports, Blåhaj, the one metre cuddly shark from IKEA, is in short supply in the UK.

Perhaps it is Brexit, perhaps it is an annual stampede to dress him up as Santa Jaws, or maybe they have all gone to warmer climes, like the Bahamas?

Either way, if you were expecting the shark underneath your Christmas tree this year, you are set to be disappointed. The official line from IKEA is 'supply issues', so we are pleased and happy to report that he isn't extinct.

The ‘IKEA SHARK’ went viral earlier this year when a group was spotted on the London Underground

He is however swimming about on the likes of eBay, for hundreds of pounds, which means you'll need a bigger wallet or $10,000 to get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing this side of Christmas.

IKEA MANAGER ‘SHARKY McSHARK-FACE’ has been unavailable for comment
