The Shark Is Broken UK tour with Ian Shaw confirmed in lead role

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic film Jaws, the acclaimed play The Shark Is Broken is embarking on a UK and Ireland tour starting in January 2025.

Co-written by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, the play explores the behind-the-scenes challenges encountered during the filming of Steven Spielberg’s classic.

The Shark Is Broken premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe before transferring to the West End, where it ran at the Ambassadors Theatre in 2021. In July 2023, the production moved to Broadway for a 16-week engagement at the John Golden Theatre, receiving critical acclaim and an Olivier Award nomination for Best Comedy Play.
