Jaws the motion picture now has a motion poster ahead of its IMAX release
Jaws is heading to the bigger screen, in IMAX, for the very first time.
To celebrate that IMAX have released a unique motion poster of the classic Roger Kastel Jaws poster depicting the great white shark beneath an unsuspecting Chrissie Watkins.
Now the 25 foot shark slowly emerges from the depths as it heads towards the swimmer, who is the first victim in the Steven Spielberg classic from 1975.
This is really is leviathan rising, which also happened to be one of the possible titles of the book by Peter Benchley, on which the film is based. Even almost 50 years later it showcases the lasting power of that image and of the film.
As well as seeing the great white shark on its biggest screen ever, we'll also get to see Chief Brody (Roy Scheider), Quint (Robert Shaw) and Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) writ large.
And there'll also be a cameo by the Jaws author, Peter Benchley, as the news anchor on the beach.
Jaws hits bigger screens in the US on September 2, and surfaces in the UK on September. As well as IMAX, it is also being shown in some screens in 3D.
