JAWS in 90 seconds: 'Brick-buster' promoting LEGO JAWS

For JAWS fans it's a case of 'smile, you son of a brick!' as Quint, Brody, Hooper, the Great White Shark and Quint's boat, the Orca, surface in LEGO form this August (did they not realise the summer dinks come down here in June?)

To celebrate that LEGO have released a tongue in cheek version of the Steven Spielberg shark classic retold in LEGO in just 90 seconds. (FYI, The Daily Jaws and JAWS fans from around the world did their own retelling of the film with the JAWS Wemake, which was JAWS made under lockdown conditions)

In JAWS in a Jiffy we get a whole host of familiar scenes, such as Brody chumming, Quint slipping down towards the shark and Brody's final face off against the shark...all with a LEGO twist, so if you are familiar with the LEGO Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic World or Harry Potter video games and their cut scenes then you'll know what tone you'll be getting. Just don't go expecting a LEGO Ben Gardner's head scene!

But you do get a cameo from a mini-figure Steven Spielberg, the Director of the 1975 film, who recreates the famous photo of him in the mouth of the Great White.

Are you a fan of this fun take on JAWS, or do you think the shark film should have steered clear of the LEGO animated treatment?

Quint, Brody and Hooper in LEGO form are too cute (but guys you are missing a trick by not giving us an extra figure in the shape of LEGO Mayor Vaughn), so will you be looking at picking up the LEGO JAWS set when it is released or is the brick rendition of the cinematic classic not your cup of tea...or should that be not your flavour of ice-cream? Coffee, of course.
