JAWS THOR: Chris Hemsworth To Dive With Sharks For SharkFest

SharkFest surfaces on National Geographic on July 5, beginning six whole weeks of shark-inspired action.

The Jaws-ome shark action debuts in style with Marvel star Chris Hemsworth. Alas, the Thor actor isn't swimming with hammerhead sharks, but he does get to show off his surfing skills before disappearing beneath the waves to get a closer look at nurse sharks.

He'll be doing that alongside Jaws and conservation legend Valerie Taylor in their native Australia, which is where the live action shark sequence of Hooper's cage was filmed nearly 50 years ago. 'Playing With Sharks' Celebrates Valerie Taylor The Woman Who Shot Jaws

So what else will be featured? Well, you're gonna need a bigger TV as it is set to be the biggest celebration of sharks yet, in fact it is so big a bite radius of shark celebrations that SharkFest programming will be featured on four networks: National Geographic, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo Mundo, and Disney XD.

And that's not all, Disney + will also start offering fresh SharkFest content on July 9 — including the Disney+ original documentary about shark conservationist and Jaws live action filmmaker, Valerie Taylor, Playing with Sharks on July 23. And, it also plans to stream the best parts of past SharkFests on June 25.
