Academy Museum With Jaws Model Has Opening Pushed Back

"Don't wait for me", says Matt Hooper in Jaws, but we are all going to have to wait just a little bit longer to see the Bruce model at the The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, as it has had its opening moved to September 30 2021.

It was originally set to open its door on April 30 2021, but due to the difficultly in knowing when public life will return to normal, it was decided to move the date back.

In a phone conversation with the New York Times, Bill Kramer, the museum's director and president, said: "With the current surge of Covid-19, it would be irresponsible to maintain an April opening."

Absolutely right, and at least he's learnt lessons from Mayor Vaughn.

But that hasn't stopped the 25 foot fibreglass model of Bruce installation from dropping, well, jaws. The opening date may have changed, but the anticipation still remains. We reported it earlier this year here:

The good news though is that Amity Hardware are still anticipating their stock of beach umbrellas, sun loungers and beach balls to be in next June.
