This Photo Opportunity, Swallow You Whole
Bruce the shark is coming to Edinburgh in early 2020, giving you the opportunity to reenact Quint’s iconic demise in Jaws.
It’s a scene that has haunted millions of childhoods and now those visiting Capital Sci Fi Con in February - we know, Jaws isn’t science-fiction. Well, perhaps Jaws 3D and Jaws the Revenge are - but it looks an amazing recreation of the scene from the Steven Spielberg classic, which celebrates turning 45 next year.
There’s been quite a bit of shark action from Edinburgh this year. First there was a Basking Shark made from old computer screens and keyboards ADD LINK and then Quint, Hooper and Chief Brody were the darlings of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the world premiere of The Shark is Broken ADD REVIEW LINK, co-written by and starring Ian Shaw, son of Quint himself, Robert Shaw.
And here’s the audience reaction to that show when we caught the final preview in Brighton.
So, who wouldn’t want to have a picture of them being devoured by Bruce as he celebrates turning 45. It sounds like there will be an awful lot of chomping, those cos play costumes may have a tendency to get stuck in his teeth though.
Still, it would make change to see Boba Fett get eaten by a great white shark than a Sarlacc pit.
