Steven Spielberg films spliced together sees a Jaws vs Duel phone off with hilarious results

In Duel (1971) it was man against a killer truck and in Jaws (1975) it was man against killer shark.

Both are stone cold Steven Spielberg classics, but now The Daily Jaws have combined two scenes from each film which see the main characters of David Mann (Dennis Weaver) and Chief Brody (Roy Scheider) have a phone off against one other, almost as if they were in some shared Steven Spielberg universe.

Did someone say shared Steven Spielberg universe?

The scenes in question are when Mann is in call box and has called the police for help from a truck that isn't just trying to run him off the road, it is trying to kill him. The truck then ends up smashing the phone booth, almost with Dennis Weaver’s character still in it!

The Jaws scene is when Martin Brody is at home and picks up the phone to - we learn later - be told about a body washing up on the beach, which turns out to be Chrissie Watkins.

Now, with the two instantly recognisable scenes spliced together it looks as if Brody isn't exactly that bothered about David Mann's killer truck issue, which is nothing like the Amity Island place Chief we all know and love.

It's fitting that both these Spielberg films have been fused together as they both share many similarities, both in story and in production.
