RARE AND UNSEEN PHOTOS OF THE SHARK FROM JAWS

The shark from Jaws. One of the most iconic movie villains (Number 18 as voted by AFI) of all time. Only on screen for 4 of the 124 minutes of Jaws’ run time, the sight of that enormous dorsal fin, gaping mouth full of teeth underscored by the brilliant two note theme by John Williams still gives chills 45 years later.

However, not all went to plan as the innovative animatronic design was vulnerable to salt water and brutal sea currents.

Bruce is the given name of the Great White Shark that was the main antagonist of Jaws, and was the collective name for a reoccurring group of supposedly-mutated Great White Sharks thought to be closely related genetically.

This particular incarnation of the shark was depicted in the film Jaws released by Universal in 1975. In addition, there were slightly similar-looking designed sharks depicted in follow-up sequels (J2, J3, and J4, respectively). However, the shark design as depicted in the original Jaws, is by far the most respected variant among fans of the film franchise.

In this short video, we have compiled some of the more rare and unseen moments of Bruce the shark in action (or out of action). Enjoy!
