Jaws Has Gone Soft
JAWS has gone soft…. soft furnishings that is. The iconic Jaws poster by Roger Kastel has always been part of what has struck fear into cinema goers since 1975.
Now, the shark is showing a softer side after it was reimagined through the medium of er fuzzy felts.
It was the idea of Boom Online, a digital marketing agency, on behalf of The Mill Shop - a soft furnishings retailer - to recreate iconic film posters using the childhood toy favourite. And Jaws was chosen, alongside the likes of Silence of the Lambs, The Terminator, Alien and, that other Steven Spielberg favourite, Jurassic Park.
Even rendered in felt the Jaws poster still packs an impressive punch, but at least it won’t be as abrasive as actual shark skin.
It looks like you’ll be able to create the whole Jaws film with fuzzy felts, we just hope that a yellow lilo is available in this seaside set and that coffee ice-cream is on the menu in the hospital set, or even better a smoking Mayor Vaughn.
