Hand-Built – Not Mass Produced
Created by a team with over 40 years in the special effects and prop industry, Bruce began as a hand, sculpted foam piece built off the original templates used by the 1974 production to create the shark for the film. The process to reach the very first copy, via sculpture, molding and casting process took over 250 man hours. With the very first one created for Universal Studios, Florida for a 50th anniversary display at the park.

Constructed from 100% automotive-grade fiberglass cloth, mat, and resin, the body is engineered for long-term durability. Every surface is finished with automotive-grade paint and a high-gloss clear coat, creating real-shark depth, texture, and sheen.
Weather-resistant and rugged, Bruce is ready for display almost anywhere—indoors or outdoors. While continuous direct sunlight is not recommended, this shark is built strong. It’s not going to melt.

Safe, Tough, and Realistic
The upper and lower jaws are cast from flex-urethane, ensuring the teeth look fierce—without posing risk. This material was chosen very intentionally so no one accidentally gets cut by hyper-real resin teeth.
The pectoral fins secure to the body using metal internal connectors with locking pins—a rock-solid mounting system that keeps the silhouette precise and stable.
