REVIEW: Vintage 1975 Quad JAWS Poster
They don't make film posters like they used to, and one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable to this day, is that of Jaws.
Sure, we all know the poster - the huge shark rising from the depths towards a helpless Chrissie Watkins - and we've seen it countless of times on books, DVDs and t-shirts.
But, there's nothing quite like taking a tour round an original Jaws poster from 1975, and Dean takes us on a tour from a poster from his own personal collection.
It's a UK quad, so measures 40 x 30 inches, and was used to promote the release of the film in the UK, which didn't hit the screen there until December 26, 1975. The poster was printed by W. E. Berry Ltd in Bradford.
It was of course designed by Roger Kastel, but did you know that the original Jaws artwork is missing? https://thedailyjaws.com/blog/the-jaws-poster-is-missing
