Megalodon Was A Not So Baby Shark
It hardly comes as a great surprise, but researchers have discovered that Megalodon, which could grow up to 45 feet long, was big even as a nipper.
It's estimated that baby Megalodon were about the same length as a basketball player, or about 6 foot 5 inches tall in regular speak.
That's an awful lot of fish to feed, especially when they have so much growing to do. Turns out they would often prey on their siblings, eating their unhatched siblings in the womb. All filled with the essential nutrients for any growing shark.
Not that this is unique to just the Megalodon, it's a survival mechanism that has been used by the great white, mako, and thresher sharks for millions of years.
Now, that's what you call food for thought.
