MAYOR VAUGHN FROM JAWS GOES VIRAL AMIDST UK FUEL SHORTAGE CRISIS

A Jaws post related to the ongoing fuel shortage in the UK has gone viral.

A meme featuring Mayor Vaughn stood in front of a petrol station forecourt with the line "The pumps are open and people are having a wonderful time." #panicbuying #fuelshortage was posted by The Daily Jaws.

The likes and the retweets started racking up almost instantly, with (at the time of writing) it being seen on Twitter over 560,000 times. Not a bad record for this vicinity.

@dorking12free said: This is my tweet of the day. Fantastic.

@hcarson54 added: That’s it..no more tweets..this one wins hands down.

Whilst @ChefDavieUK commented: This stuff is why I'm still on twitter...

And cementing that influence on social the tweet was also featured in an article on The Poke, entitled 23 favourite tweets about the petrol, lorry driver (and anything else) shortage right now: 23 favourite tweets about the petrol, lorry driver (and anything else) shortage right now

Inevitably, it also saw that same image appearing on other sites and social media, well they do say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And it didn't do Jaws any harm: 'Jaws With'
