Will American Horror Story Season 10 Pay Homage To Jaws?

Could those proportions be correct? Could Ryan Murphy's horror series be doffing its bad hat to the 1975 Steven Spielberg shark thriller?

One can only hope. Of course, this is all wild speculation, especially with us only having the title and filming locations.

With previous seasons taking their cue from real life events or real life people, the rumour is that season 10 of American Horror Story could feature 'the lady of the dunes', an unsolved murder case from 1974, where the victim could even have been an extra in Jaws.

What is confirmed is that the latest season of American Horror Story has been filming on location in Province Town, echoing perhaps some of those very locations that Steven Spielberg shot at back in 1974.

We also know the title of the season, Double Feature, and as the title suggests it will cover two (related?) stories, one set by the sea and one by the sand. Intrigued? You bet we are.

New to the series - which often sees the same actors returning to very different roles - is Home Alone star Macauley Culkin. He’s joined by Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock.

We know there are still cast members to be announced, and we can only hope that includes the return of Dylan McDermott, who has featured in three series, and was last seen playing a character called Bruce in AHS: 1984.

It would certainly be fitting, as his decision to become an actor was directly influenced by Jeffrey Kramer, who played Deputy Hendricks in Jaws.
