The Shark Is Broken cast and crew interviews
You can catch The Shark Is Broken until November 6th, 2022 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Totonto, Canada.
Having weathered the storm of a delayed debut due to a national lockdown, The Shark Is Broken is now finally here and making big waves in London’s West End.
The hit stage play charts the making-of Jaws from the point of view of the three lead actors Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss. The action takes place aboard the set of the Orca with scenes happening between takes or waiting on set ups and more often than not, being at the mercy of a very temperamental mechanical star.
The play is an extra special treat for Jaws fans as it was co-written by and stars Ian Shaw, son of Jaws actor Robert Shaw (Quint) in which he plays his own father in what the Evening Standard described as ‘One of the most exhilarating theatrical performances of the year.”
Having supported the show since seeing it’s first performance in a 90 seat theatre in Brighton, The Daily Jaws has seen the show go from strength to strength and we were absolutely thrilled to be announced as official media partner for it’s West End debut run. We were invited to a special press day to have a sneak peek at the new, extended version of the show and catch up with the cast, director and set designer. Enjoy the interviews below!
