Kickstarter: Shark Of War
Jaws Meets Robocop
If you’re the kind of person who was secretly rooting for the shark in Jaws, then you’ll probably love Shark of War, a new comic book funding on Kickstarter at SharkofWar.BitingComics.com. The animation clip at the end of this article tells the story, but simply put, it’s Jaws if the shark were the hero and Robocop if the cop were a shark.
When an injured great white shark is brought to a secret naval research facility, the scientists increase his intelligence, peel back his skin to install body armor, and mount jets engines on him powered by the oil his own body produces when he eats his foes.
But he escapes after an act of sabotage. Preprogrammed to enforce U.S law, he does so with maximum force, devouring wrongdoers all around the Gulf of Mexico. Nothing can stop him, until the Mob hires the scientist who created him to build even more dangerous creatures.
You can download a free 20 page preview comic at SharkofWar.BitingComics.com as well as reserve your copy of issue 1. There are a variety of options to choose from, digital and hardcopy - including variant covers - one of which is of course a Jaws homage. And for those who want to be in a comic book - that’s an option too.
Shark Of War is funding at SharkofWar.BitingComics.com through March 3.

Didn’t eat a car, did he?!
Own metal stamped, aluminium replica of the license plate Hooper pulls from the Tiger shark caught by those bozos in the waters off Amity Island. Perfect for mounting on a wall, the number plate contains 007 as Steven Spielberg loved James Bond (he was later cast the original 007 Sean Connery as Indiana Jones Snr).
