Say Farewell And Adieu To 2020 With Jaws
Jaws has lingered long in the minds in 2020, not just because it turned 45, but it was also constantly being compared to the unfolding and handling of the Covid-19 epidemic.
We aren't in safe waters yet, and although we may not be seeing 2020 out with a nighttime beach party, we can still see it out with a bang - depending on which Jaws film you welcome the New Year in with.
So, which to choose?
All film timings are in 24 hour clock and are based on Blu-ray editions and don't account for loading times or bypassing those faffy Universal menus.
If you want to crush 2020 like Quint (let's face it, who doesn't) and smile like a son of a bitch into the next year, then you have no choice but to go with the original.
Nostradamus never mentioned it, but the shark in Jaws explodes 2. 00.20 into the film, 2020! Just sayin'.
Jaws: start at 21:59:40 to coincide with the blowing up of the shark and New Year.
Or, perhaps you grew facial hair like the doomed bearded helicopter rescue pilot in Jaws 2. Next stop, Ireland. It's the electrifying ending of Jaws 2 for you.
Jaws 2: start at 22:08:18 to coincide with the destruction of the shark and New Year.
Maybe you want to slowly glide into 2021 and leap for joy like Cindy or Sandy, then Jaws 3D is your film of choice.
Jaws 3D: start at 22:26:08 to coincide with the blowing up of the shark and New Year.
Or perhaps you are just hoping that in 2021 you can get away from it all, have a much deserved holiday and want to warm up with a few Bahama mamas. Step forward, Jaws the Revenge.
Jaws the Revenge: start at 22:36:33 to coincide with the blowing up of the shark and New Year.
However you choose to celebrate, keep safe, and here's to more Jaws adventures in 2021.
