BRUCE THE SHARK TAKES FLIGHT

No, we don't mean Bruce the shark from Jaws, waiting in the wings for the grand opening at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

We mean Bruce, the 15-foot fiberglass replica shark from Sharkie's Bar and Grill off Jefferson Avenue in Port O'Connor, Texas.

He was caught on a dashcam in the middle of a tropical storm cartwheeling (you ever have one do this before?) towards the road.

Bruce, the 15-foot fiberglass replica shark from Sharkie's Bar and Grill off Jefferson Avenue in Port O'Connor, Texas.

Don't worry, this was no Sharknado, he'd simply been thrown through the air from his usual place outside the bar and grill by Tropical Storm Nicholas.

Like Ben Gardner's boat from Jaws, he is pretty beat up. In fact, the shark is broken, but his owners - with the help of a local fiberglass business - are hoping he can be resurrected.

The owners of the bar had some water damage inside their business, as well as damage to their fence. Although that of course could just be the local karate school.
