Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce Announces New Leadership!
The Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce (MVCC) proudly announces the appointment of Erica Ashton as Executive Director and Alessandra Hagerty as Deputy Director. Together, they will spearhead efforts to promote economic growth, tourism, and community engagement on Martha's Vineyard.
Erica Ashton, with over 20 years of experience in media and advertising sales, recently served as VP, Head of Sales at The Arena Group, working with brands like Parade, Sports Illustrated, Men's Journal, and TheStreet. Erica, who moved to Martha's Vineyard in 2019 with her husband, Chef Jon Ashton, and their labradoodle, Eleanor Rigby, is deeply committed to local business support and economic development. Residing in Edgartown, she is eager to enhance the island's global profile as a premier destination. Erica's personal interests include yoga, tablescaping, and gardening.
Alessandra Hagerty brings 15 years of experience in advertising sales and marketing, having held significant roles at Vineyard Gazette Media Group, The Knot Worldwide, and WeddingWire. She recently launched the Martha's Party Wedding + Event Conference in May 2023. Living in Edgartown since 2013 with her family and their Vizsla, Archie, Alessandra serves on the boards of the Edgartown Board of Trade and Martha's Vineyard Youth Lacrosse. Her dedication to promoting the island as a top destination aligns with the Chamber's goals.

Martha’s Vineyard played the role of Amity Island in three out of four JAWS movies.
