Jaws theme echoes across Wembley ahead of Fury and Whyte’s boxing showdown

John Williams' iconic theme from Jaws greeted 94,000 boxing fans at Wembley ahead of the heavyweight champion of the world title fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.

It was Whyte who came out to the foreboding sounds of the Oscar-winning  shark theme main title, that is synonymous with building tension and fear.

It then melted into Back In Black by AC/DC, hoping to whip the crowd up into a frenzy.

Jaws is where Whyte's journey ended, taking a massive uppercut in the sixth round. That knockout sees Tyson Fury retain his WBC heavyweight world title. He’s also retained his great taste in suits, which even Mayor Vaughn would be jealous of.

Boxing - of sorts - gets a mention in Jaws by Quint (Robert Shaw) revealing how he lost a tooth on St Paddy's Day.

You could also say that famed Jaws cinematographer Bill Butler spent plenty of time in the ring, as he performed director of photography duties on the Sylvester Stallone boxing drama sequels Rocky II, Rocky III and Rocky IV.

However, Chief Brody actor Roy Scheider was actually a successful amateur boxer in the Diamond Gloves Boxing Tournament in the late 1940s and 1950s ahead of him getting hit by the acting bug, although you can see that the classic boxer pose never left him in this photo from Marathon Man.

Scheider said in a TV interview in the 1980s that he only took up boxing as a means of losing weight and keeping fit, clearly he wasn’t a bad amateur boxer for this vicinity.

The below are listed on IMDB, and perhaps go some way to explaining the shape of Scheider's nose.
