Mitchell Anderson Jaws The Revenge Interview

What was it like working with Lorraine Gary?

She was lovely.  I really only worked with her for a couple of weeks.  Much of my time on the movie was spent alone in a big tank on the Universal lot.  The exteriors were shot on location in Martha’s Vineyard for two weeks.  So Lorraine and I spent quite a bit of time together, which helped with our short, but important on screen relationship.

Why Is JAWS Still Considered The Greatest Shark Movie Of All Time?

Let’s get one thing straight; JAWS is not simply a shark movie.   It is THE shark movie.  It is the shark movie that all other shark movies get instantly compared to.  But why is that?  Why is it that whenever Hollywood announce a new man-eating shark film is to be released, the cinematic audiences automatically state “I bet JAWS is still going to be better?”

Jaws + Jurassic Park = The Perfect Double-Bill

As a huge fan of Jaws that sadly is too young to have seen it on the big screen when it was released back in 1975, I will of course jump at the opportunity to see my favourite film given the full cinematic treatment. As you can imagine our ancestors didn’t have much cool memories with beautiful beachgoers but instead so many lethal experiences when it comes to the memories of the sea. So, the movie “Jaws” directly stimulates our deepest fears.

Why Hooper Is The Best Character In Jaws

IN A RECENT poll on my Twitter, I posed the question “Who is your favourite character in Jaws?”, including of course the three main characters, and then a rather tongue in cheek fourth option of Bruce the Shark. I wasn’t too surprised tofind Quint come out on top with 41% of the vote, but I was incredibly surprised to find Hooper placing in third position with just 19%, just one place ahead of the ever reliable Bruce!
