Boy finds Megalodon shark tooth on UK beach

A six-year-old boy is gonna need a bigger shelf after finding the tooth of the largest shark that ever existed on a beach in Suffolk, England.

Sammy Shelton, from Norfolk, found the 10cm-long (4in) tooth of a Megalodon shark on Bawdsey beach in Suffolk and his fantastic find has already earned him an explorer badge at Beavers.

Only a handful of Megalodon teeth are found in the UK each year, so this is quite the discovery.

Peter, Sammy's dad, was with him when he found the tooth. He said: "People have said it’s a once-in-a-lifetime discovery.

"Really we were looking for interesting shells on the beach but instead we got this Megalodon tooth."

He added that his son is very attached to the tooth and is sleeping with it near his bed.

Obviously, Sammy is doing everything to make sure he doesn't have an 'accident' like Matt Hooper in Jaws and lose it.
