Friends: The One With All The Shark References
You may have heard that there is going to be a Friends reunion show with the cast of the sitcom on HBO.
Even if you've never seen any of the 236 episodes featuring Ross, Joey, Chandler, Rachel, Monica or Phoebe, it's had - and continues to have - a lasting cultural impact.
During its run it referenced everything from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings, to, yes, even Jaws... And sharks.
In fact a shark has featured in the background of most episodes, hanging up in the kitchen area of Joey and Chandler's apartment. Our chief writer even got to get up close to it - you know, to give it some scale - when he visited Friends Fest in London.

The One With Rachel's Inadvertent Kiss
Season 5, episode 17
At the opening of this episode Ross (David Schwimmer) is doing his best Chrissie Watkins impression as he mimes being attacked a shark whilst swimming (or should that be schwimming?) to Joey (Matt LeBlanc) in the opposite apartment.
The One Where Chandler Takes a Bath
Season 8, episode 13
During this episode of Friends, Monica (Courtney Cox) urges a reluctant Chandler (Matthew Perry) to enjoy the soothing pleasures of a scented bath, but realises that she's created a tub monster.
The One With The Sharks
Season 9, episode 4
Monica surprises her husband, Chandler, in Tulsa, and finds him getting aroused by watching sharks on TV. She mistakingly assumes that he gets turned on by shark porn, which worries her.
But because she's a loving and supportive wife, she tells him that she can learn to live with it. But it turns out that he was watching regular porn, and changed the channel because he didn't want Monica to know that he was watching it. As you do.
