Even as a child, I never thought of Jaws as a horror film, but rather an drama. That's not to say that I didn't find it terrifying the first time I watched it (even in its edited-for-television version that was much less bloody and left out a couple of severed limbs). It's just that horror films lose their edge after their original viewing. An absolute must have for any Jaws fans and filmmakers alike!

The exteriors were shot on location in Martha’s Vineyard for two weeks. So Lorraine and I spent quite a bit of time together, which helped with our short, but important on screen relationship.
Read MoreLet’s get one thing straight; JAWS is not simply a shark movie. It is THE shark movie. It is the shark movie that all other shark movies get instantly compared to. But why is that?
